It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

holidaymovie07.jpgThis holiday/winter themed movie is a group project and features the directorial skills of seven Sims movie directors. Each director submitted raw clips along with Sim versions of themselves. I edited all the clips together to the song “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” by Andy Williams and we were able to produce this fun, fast-paced movie. I wasn’t sure how it would turn out since each director has such a different style and they weren’t assigned to any particular section of the song but it came together wonderfully. Several of the transition scenes were filmed by Hazeqeren and the credits sequence was shot and edited by me. Special thanks to SimplyMe for taking the additional transition scenes and footage when I asked. This wouldn’t have been finished in time without her help. Thanks to the participants and despite it being a bit stressful and a mad rush to finish before the weekend commenced, it ended up being quite fun and I’m pleased with the final product. We hope you are too! Enjoy!

It’s beautiful! I cannot get this grin off of my face, and I was laughing out loud, particularly at the part where Santa ran off after the hubbie yelled at him for being a peeping tom, and then during the whole director credits. I loved all the clips, they were so endearing. I suddenly had this urge to make a snowman. :D I am so dang impressed and amazed at how quickly this all came together.

And Andy William’s “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” is my absolute favorite Christmas song ever. My mom had his Christmas album, and we would play that every Christmas.

I really enjoyed watching this, it’s really amazing what you guys can do!!

I’m generally not that much into the Christmasy-stuff (not sure this is proper english- I’m French ;) ) but I have to admit, seeing things like this is very enjoyable :rofl:
It is indeed the most wonderful time of the year…

This movie is both beautiful and funny (I too loved the Santa scene!)

The day I’ll be able to create a machinima as good as this (please let me dream a little!) will be the happiest day of my simming life!

Wow, this lil project came out so great. The music was perfect to set the tone and to put everything together. It’s fun to try to guess who made what. I’m glad I could contribute. This lil project really put me in the xmas mood :)

If you want to do one for valentine’s day or easter, tell me now, so I have more time to work on it :rofl:

Wow I loved it! I the scenes I loved most were the one with the kids sleeping (awww) and the first two winter scenes; they seemed so realistic!
Great work, I love Christmas and your movie was a lot of fun to watch!=D
I noticed your Sim-version really resembles Emma.:wink:
